AstroTurf® Great Lakes Installs New RootZone® 3D3 Trionic Blend at Northwood University’s Dean Soccer Field

MIDLAND, MI — Northwood University has taken a major step forward in enhancing its athletic facilities with the installation of a brand-new AstroTurf® RootZone® 3D3 Trionic Blend surface at Dean Soccer Field. The project, completed in partnership with AstroTurf® and regional distributor AstroTurf Great Lakes, reflects both the university’s commitment to its student-athletes and the distributor’s continued growth across the region.

AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D3 Trionic Blend is a premium synthetic turf system engineered for top-level play. With a unique blend of fibers and AstroTurf’s RootZone layer, the system reduces infill migration, enhances durability, and delivers consistent performance under the demands of soccer training and competition.

“AstroTurf was great to work with; from the start of our project to the very end, they were helpful, accessible, and proactive. The product and installation have exceeded our expectations! First class all the way!” said Jeff Curtis, Athletic Director at Northwood University.

For the Wolves, the new Dean Soccer Field represents more than just an upgraded surface, it is a resource that enhances daily training, and ensures their athletes are competing on one of the most reliable and advanced soccer fields in the region.
