AstroTurf Welcomes NFL Veteran Cameron Worrell to Sales Team

Dalton, GA – AstroTurf Corporation, the inventor and leading innovator of synthetic turf, announces Cameron Worrell as a new Regional Sales Manager in Northern California and California’s Central Valley. In this role, Cameron will be responsible for developing relations with existing and prospective customers in order to help deliver the AstroTurf model of customer service, products, and value.

Cameron brings a wealth of knowledge and valuable insight to AstroTurf from his vast experience both on and off the playing field. His playing experience includes playing football at Fresno State University where he was a walk-on who developed into a 1st Team All-Conference Safety by his senior season. Cam followed that up with being the only undrafted rookie to make the 53 man roster out of training camp with the Chicago Bears.  He retired in 2009 after spending six seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins.

With his playing days behind him, Cameron still chose to remain closely associated with sports in all of his endeavors which have been numerous.  He is part owner of a high-level strength and conditioning facility that works with college and professional athletes. He is Co-Founder of Passing Down, the largest youth 7on7 platform on the west coast. In 2011, Cameron coached the secondary and special teams at Fresno City College and helped 5 defensive backs earn Division 1 Scholarships. In 2014, he helped form First Down Ventures that specializes in seed stage funding, and for the last three years he has served as a Sales Manager for a football equipment company specializing in head and shoulder pads designed to reduce head and upper body impact during non-contact activities.

If Mr. Worrell’s resume wasn’t already impressive enough, he also can add TV Studio Analyst for CBS and NBC affiliates in Fresno covering the NFL and Fresno State during football season. He is a member of the ESPN 940 broadcast team as well, covering Fresno State Football as a sideline analyst.

Commenting on the addition of Cameron Worrell to the AstroTurf team, Rich Jordan, AstroTurf Vice President of Business Development and Marketing said, “We are thrilled to have Cameron joining the AstroTurf team as a Regional Sales Manager.  Our customers in California’s Central Valley and in Northern California are going to be well-served with Cam’s unique perspective that he can offer from his experiences as a player, coach, analyst, and businessman. We have always prided ourselves in giving our customers a great field buying experience and we are confident that Cameron will provide just that.”

Cameron resides in California with his wife, Jenell, and his two daughters, Ariana and Ava.
