Marcum brings a unique combination of executive sales leadership, deep product and installation expertise, and firsthand collegiate athletics experience to the role. He returns to AstroTurf following recent service as Vice President of Sales – North America for Schmitz Foam Products, where he led national sales strategy and delivered record-setting results. At Schmitz, Marcum achieved consistent year-over-year growth, exceeded revenue and volume targets, and guided the successful North American launch of new performance pad technologies, while also establishing international supplier partnerships and expanding the national sales organization.
Previously, Marcum served as Regional Sales Manager at AstroTurf, where he was recognized as the company’s Rookie of the Year and earned four consecutive Million Dollar Club awards. During that period, he managed multimillion-dollar projects throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, working directly with school districts, higher education institutions, and athletic administrators to deliver high-performance synthetic turf solutions from concept through completion.

Marcum’s professional foundation is built on extensive experience in collegiate athletics administration and facilities leadership. He previously served as Director of Athletic Facilities at Texas A&M University, overseeing major athletic venues, capital improvement projects, and championship events, while collaborating closely with coaches, administrators, and external partners. This background gives him a practical, operator-level understanding of the priorities and challenges faced by AstroTurf’s core customers.
In his new role, Marcum will lead regional sales strategy across the Southeast, focusing on team development, customer engagement, and long-term partnerships with schools, universities, and sports organizations.
