Claremore, OK – Claremore High School has recently resurfaced their football stadium field and it has just about everything from A to Z, or should we say AstroTurf to Zebras? Lantow Field now sports bright, and bold striped end zones and a new AstroTurf® playing surface that is sure to be the envy of every team that visits.
The field itself is AstroTurf’s most popular turf due to its combination of long-lasting performance and game day good looks. The RootZone 3D3 system results in minimal infill splash and better shock absorbency, while improving safety, playability and durability. Also included in the system is Trionic®, AstroTurf’s patented new wonder-fiber. Trionic® is a blend of polyethylene and nylon fibers that is quickly revolutionizing the synthetic turf industry.
The field has made quite an impression on those that have seen it. MaxPreps has even featured it in their article of Top Ten Amazing Turf Fields. The huge “Zebras” text that spans 26 yards is impressive, but what really has garnered a lot of attention is the intricate striped design of the end zones. This
was achieved by Claremore selecting AstroTurf’s PreFab option.
The PreFab option is another innovative approach from AstroTurf® that helps insure that the customer gets the best looking and most durable field possible. On site installation and old fashioned inlaying can be tricky during less than ideal weather conditions. AstroTurf’s PreFab option allowed Claremore’s end zones to be shipped with all of the markings already inlayed. The markings were cut with a robotic water jet at 60,000 psi for crisp, clean cuts. This insures that inlays are tight, seams are strong and the results are superior. All of this takes place in a climate controlled facility with expert supervision that results in excellent quality and on time installation.
